Therefore we aim for a rejuvenated appearance by using Botox to reduce the appearance of these lines. We will discuss your goals, and an assessment of your individual face will be made prior to treatment.
Botulinum toxin has an excellent safety profile with treatments performed worldwide to millions of people.
However, there are a small number of contraindications. It is not safe to have Botox if you have any of the following conditions:
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
- Certain neurological disorders (such as myasthenia gravis)
- Certain antibiotics and blood-thinning medication
- Skin infection over or near the area to be treated
- Previous adverse reaction to botulinum toxin
- Upcoming surgery
